Aernt tornado PU not PVC stu?? Same end result, 10 years of UV = faded colour and lifting seams.

I have a friends 15 yr old humber 5.3 to sell. It's identical to clam's first boat the 2m beam OP / Attaque. The tubes are still 9/10 (hypalon) 1998 4-stroke 70.

Getting to be quite a long way north of 5k though?

Woody73 had a mil spec 5.4 with a 90hp Yam 2 stroke for sale on here not long ago. Dunno if he sold that.

Joined up a while ago as have been thinking of getting my first RIB and now I've done my PB2 course and am in a position to buy my first boat.
I have seen some tatty examples starting from about 5k but it would appear you would get something a fair bit better by spending a grand of 3 more. I realise my budget would have to cover boat, engine and trailer and I could possibly sacrifice the trailer to spend more of the budget on the boat and engine and put the boat on a mooring for the summer then get a trailer in a few months time.

Am looking for something around 5m and at least 50hp to do day trips around the Solent / Poole / Swanage so something that was more sea worthy rather than just out and out fast would appeal. A single jockey seat up front and a 2 seat jockey behind would be preferred too.

Browsing online. I've seen a 2006 Humber pro with a Mercury 90hp and Tornado 5.1 with an older 60hp Mercury which is less money. Would either of these be a suitable first boat?

Any other advice gratefully received.

Thanks in advance - Tim
i`m hoping you have some boating experience as its still hard work finding your way home out there
pb2 is no substitute for experience i would opt for a cheaper boat because your gonna prang it .
and my best advice buddy up for your first few outings i still struggle with channel markings

4.8M RIBCRAFT RIB WITH YAMAHA 60hp (4s) OUTBOARD
Is anyone familiar with this rib?

It's showing on the seller's website as already sold although there is another for sale which looks like the same boat with a Honda 50 engine on it. I've asked questions on it but no reply so far.

I also recognise the youtube video on the eBay listing from last year when I was looking for a Ribcraft 4.8m

Someone must know is this company based at the dry stack in southampton?

I've got an email back from the seller saying the original listing will probably be sold today but the other with the honda 50 will be coming in soon for circa 8,500. He says this is so much cheaper cause its 10hp less although its 5 years newer!!

Still a bit more than I'd like to pay but is this just a broker taking the p!ss

Do they post on here
