In the end they did away with the turbine because the company supplying it went tits up.

I think he was planning to fit an engine in.

I'm no marine architect, but that hull looks more wave piercing than wave riding.

Yes it is - hence no transom either. A pretty wet ride but if you look at the console that was taken into account.
