Head Torch - great bargain
I just wanted to share with you details of a head torch, I bought a couple and I must say they are amazing value for money, they come with duracell batteries ready to go, they have a main white beam and a smaller white, green and red forward beam, at the back you can turn on a red follow me light, all superb LED's.
This company are very well respected and do other great stuff

I like the Alpkit stuff generally, but on the boat I reckon that the Energizer Extreme head torch has the edge. Only a couple of quid more expensive if you shop around, and IPX7 rated.

Looks nice, but feature wise I think the Gamma wins, plus with twin AA's will give you longer burn time

Led lenser HDR7
Why do you guys not use the Led lenser HDR 7 (rechargeable),if in the diffused (wide angle) and lower power setting mode they are not blinding and will last more than one night?

Because the Gamma is the best and uses 2 x AA batteries, easy to change and lasts for ages, just do a search for reviews on them, it's all very clear

I'm still using the ones I bought from China 5 years ago that Go Outdoors sell in their bargain range for about 2 quid.
They are the only ones I've found so far with a red filter so they don't ruin night vision.

Love mine! Got it free from my mate who in turn got two free from a salesman. The only feature this one doesn't have over the shop bought ones is the focus lever on the lens. But great at long distances and at closer range you just dim it down.
