90hp should be plenty of grunt to get that on the plane.

In addition to dubrus q's...

What prop do you have on?
I assume that the engine has Power Trim and you know how to use it (down till on the plane then up till going fast - basically).
Could the inside of the hull be full of water.
What speed are you getting?

Posts: 1,903 the hull clean. If permanently on the water growth can have a dramatic effect on performance

More Qs..... If it's an Optimax, any lights on the dials that might hint it's in "get you home" mode?

Does it sound like it's labouring? (I guess it will have electronic rev. limiting so shouldn't go the other way)

Is the engine secondhand? If so, any idea what it was pushing along before it met your rib? (prrop likely sized for previous job, as mine was)
