Hydrochloric Acid (around 15%). That's what I use about 3 or 4 times a season and my rib is kept on a mooring for 8 months. It's about a 10 - 15 minute job. Spray on, leave a few minutes and then wipe off with a deck scubber. Reapply to the few patches that need it.

Ian

PS it's the same stuff used to keep all the quays and steps around here clear of weed.

I got 3 teenage lads with Dive masks & scourers to clean mine (in the water) in return for a 10 minute spin round swanage bay !

My only hint & tip - Dont eat yellow snow........

Install a head phone socket into your console connected to the external speaker jack on your radio. Then get a single ear piece head phone.
Still hear your radio at 40 knots.

I've been using this and it's survived the winter.
