Freeing ports are the one way flaps in the transom to clear the deck of standing water.

I think they are generally used where the deck at the transom is above the normal waterline. Where there is a well, which you often get with outboards, you tend to find they have elephant's trunks.

I suppose my question was how do you get rid of water on the deck.

It will have elephant trucks if needed. At the min the water is a able to flood into a water tight well under the deck which has ( or will have) twin bilge pumps fitted.
