GRP box for RIB

I would like to fit a GRP box with hinged, lockable lid on our RIB to the forward face of the console. Dimensions approx. 800w x 400d x 600h.

Can somebody recommend a place where such an item can be purchased or made up?

Thanks in advance.

I might be able to help you, I have just got hold of some ex Liferaft cases made of white GRP which are around those sizes. Probably 700 * 400 * 350 I got hold of 6 at 15 quid each and I can spare 2.

I'll measure them today and let you know

I don't suppose you want a soldering iron as well do you

cheers
Stuart

Still trying to flog those soldering irons Stuart?
They are good irons if anyone's interested, the one I got off him was variable temperature and all that, very useful. Not exactly new, but still more than up to the job!

Hi Matt it's more of a joke really, as it generally mention it if I am bitching about good Value or something like that. I am just paying homage to dell boy really. 'This time next year Rodders '

Tim the boxes are 940 * 360 * 550 so they might not do for you. They are cases from Zodiac liferafts so they are certainly waterproof

Thanks for the offer. I'll check out the size and let you know (probably Tuesday).

Cheers.

Stuart,
I would probably be interested in one of those boxes if you have any left!! Will measure up tonight and see if it will fit behind my console!! Let me know if you can spare one as I believe I am quite local to your good self, down in sunny Eastleigh.

Stuart,
not sure if it was me you were asking but I usually go from under the toll bridge or warsash depending on my mood and the weather/traffic/tide/time of day etc!!
Will see if one of those GRP boxes will fit when I get a chance but I suspect it may be a bit large and take up too much deck space.
