Greetings from Sydney Harbour

Hello all,

I believe its customary for a new member to get the drinks in so help yourselves at the virtual bar...

I'm an exile from the Uk on my first rib - a 5.05 Gemini Waverider with an 85hp Yamaha CV engine on the back. Noisy but strong and plenty quick enough for the harbour and a little bit of offshore here and there.

Have picked up some good tips from you guys so far on cleaning, expedition prepping and watersports so many thanks...

I mainly use the RIB inshore although for the last few weeks I have been heading outside of the harbour to view whales as they migrate up the coast to Queensland.

If you'd like to see a few shots of our stomping ground down here - take a look at www.epicsurf.com.au . This is the area where we all buzz around down here. The rib pictured is another Gemini - not mine - but a bigger 6m version, but there are some good location shots if any are interested.

Edward

Hello Edward and welcome aboard. Just been doing some boating on the Queensland coast, shame you left it a little later to join us we could have met up.
Plan to be back at the end of the year so I will contact you nearer the time.
All the best Alan P

welcome hope you enjoy the forum. I know I have.

Good boats the 5.05 I prefer them to the 5.5 and the 6. They give a better ride somehow.

p.s. thanks for the drink!!!
