Graphics for a Mariner 75?

Hi

I have a great engine but it looks shabby externally so thinking of respraying and putting more modern decals on it.

Mine looks like

and I want it to look like

Any pointers on where I can get a set of stickers for sensible money?

Cheers TK

I've just ordered a set from a firm in the states, if you google outboard decals just take your pick. postage was @£8.
I'm restoring a 1990's Mariner V6 so wanted original !

You get what you pay for. As a comparison, the side decals and digits for a mid sized Twatsoo were £86 from dealer.

I've just paid these guys a visit about some for my Mercury

Wall Stickers, Plant and Machinery Decals items in Stickerbucket store on eBay!

I have seen their work but not bought a set yet so I haven't actually used them but the sample they showed me looks very good. They seem to be very helpful and keen to help too.

Might be worth a try.

The trouble with a digital print over an original Mariner decal is that it will always look like a digital print and probably fade some what, if you are going spent the time making it look updated then is it worth skimping on the stickers? I get asked all the time to copy them and don't unless it's a custom design.

I have done many a mercury one with a good quality laminate on top never faded to date, it's all about materials used,

Yep as Nugent says, the guy I spoke to does laminated ones for if they aren't going to be lacquered over as part of a complete recondition.
