I thought that road legal number plates had to have the name of the supplier where you have "Ghostrider" or does that only apply to the towing vehicle?

No, a road legal number plate just needs to be the right colour, size and spacing. The supplier name is just them blagging a bit of free advertising.

Take a look at a police car-they don't have anything there.

Wrong, the plate has to have the suppliers name on it, you need to show registration doc and sometimes driving licence to get one made legally.

Get my trailer plate from 'Flashplates' on eBay. It looks legal down to the supplier name and post code but clearly doesn't involve the V document. IIRC they get round it by calling them 'Showplates'. Costs around a tenner.

You will soon forget about the plate when you start playing with the boat!

Am sure you will love it...especially as it's being given a once over to make it just right. :-)

..... I never did understand the point of the law, an eBay plate has to be better than a black marker pen or a piece of cardboard.

Yes, I know that. It still doesn't have to have the supplier's name on it .I'd be very surprised if you can find text on that link that says you do.
