Gosport Marina fuel pontoon out of order this bank holiday

Quite predictable really - the petrol pump at Gosport Marina has a habit of breaking down on bank holiday weekends and during Cowes week. This bank holiday is no exception, but at least they were good enough to ring me today to tell me I can't buy any fuel tomorrow morning! So, if you are planning on filling up there this weekend you will either have to go up to Port Solent or invest in some gerry cans. They hope to have it working again by the following weekend

I always thought Gosport was miles away. It'll be me going round the island next thinking I'm circumnavigating Britain.

There's the bit I don't get - if he thought Sheppey (on the right) was Britain, WTF did he think the mainland (on the left) was, Belgium? France?

More to that story than meets the eye.
