"Gin Palaces"

As a Newbie I think I understand the concept of a Gin Palace so am I correct in believing that the people on one of these would refer to a RIB as a "Beer Bucket"?

Depends on the size of the RIB I guess, but some toff in a Sunseeker 48 wanted to use mine as a fender!
