My wife refuses to step onboard my new boat. She used to come out on decent days when I had the Zodiac Pro, but wasn't impressed when I upgraded.

Hoping my daughters will come out, but it has to revolve around them, so no fishing, somewhere decent for lunch (no cheese sandwiches and tar-like coffee).

My missus will start to get twitchy if it's really lumpy (I mean REALLY lumpy) apart from that she's out whenever I go out. She will put up with more extreme conditions since she got the drysuit. The secret is to keep 'em warm, dry & full 'o sugar & the promise of a sticky bun at the end of it all. Just got a pair of Geckos now, so no stopping her. Our daughter's grown up on RIBS from being a baby, she was gutting mackies at 5yrs old.

Mrs Tonto loves going out, but not when its too cold or too lumpy.

She draws the line at about 1.5M seas, and about +5 degrees!

Having said that she does have a dodgy back, so if i start banging into the seas at speed it does her no good, so I can see her point!

She loves the fishing, wreck fishing particularly, as well as the Makerel catching.

She is scared of the water, but has gotten better since she started coming out on the rib, and she is very good at ensuring I have kill cord, and LJ on properly.

Having just got the 2 gecko's she will be able stand the cold beter, and am looking at a good jacket as well to keep her warm.

Normally she drives the boat when launching and recovery, and she is pretty good at it.

When I go out on my own or with a buddy for fishing she does get a bit grumpy if I leave her at home

When I had my Avon, my wife refused to go out on it because it didn't have a loo, hand washing facilities and a cooker.
So I bought a larger rib with those facilities.
She looked at it disdainfully and said she wouldn't go on any boat of mine that didn't have a duty free shop.

End of efforts to persuade the wife. Brian rubbing his hands in glee!

Take another woman out in it, you're wife will soon change her mind

My port seat is usually empty.
The RIB is mine and is my escape from decorating, blocked loos, taxi driving and ........
Sometimes one of my two lads will come out, and usually say how much they enjoy it, but both are heavily into competitive sport, and have now discovered girls, so it is very occasionally that I am accompanied.
However, the sense of freedom when I launch and first properly open the taps is brilliant
Slightly off topic, but for me, the only aspect that I wish I could incorporate is any form of occasional competition; but RIB racing is a bridge too far

nice on Biff

compromise works for us, we go out together when the weather is good, Jayne likes photographing the local wildlife and the odd trip to Ty Coch on a nice day, but when it's lumpy I'm on me own n can have a good bash, just have to take it steady while I'm recovering from the recent ops etc, but hopefully this season will be a touch easier
