Gemini Industries

Right, i've read all the horror stories about Gemini Industries. I would now like to hear the other side of the story if thier is one. Does anybody here have anything good to say about them? Has anybody here sucessfully fitted thier tubes and used them for any period of time?

Thanks

Most people have but its only been a very short period of time.

Diverdad used the end cones off his as a hat for his snow man, it was the most use they had been.

Did you fit them? What happened to them?

Yes I fitted them (with some help and advice from one of the experts, think it was Paul Tilley). They didn't fit particularly well (despite being designed for this boat) and had very small attachment areas hence came off in various places. The actual quality was pretty shocking; they were more reminiscent of the sort of dinghy you can buy in Argos. Made of thin PVC stitched together for the outer bit, with the bladders stuffed inside. I admit that part of the trouble was probably that I fitted them my self (not an easy job!) but the quality did seem poor. Fortunately I bought this project from someone else who'd bought the bull (think it was a 3m Narwhal) and the tubes from Gemini and then got cold feet about fitting them, so it didn't cost me a load of money. I certainly wouldn't pay their standard rates. As usual, with tubes, you get what you pay for

Hi Paul.
In that case it was another tube expert on here. This was some time ago so I've forgotten. But yes, I too would suggest burning the dam things!
