Gemini 730 Tramson Support

I am currently trying to figure out how to retro-fit a transom support onto my 730. I have a pretty good idea how I am going to do it but I'll always listen to somone else who has a better idea or has actually done one.
My RIB has twin 200 Mercs and the Standard Radar Arch attached which gives some extra support for the behemoths strapped to the back. I know I may be overpowered "a-bit" but hey, no guts, no glory. And you might even see this RIB on Whale Wars next season...

Hey there. I have a Gemini 730 with a pair of Yamaha 150 four strokes. Are you just trying to re-inforce the transom? My 150s are fitted to the standard transom with no issues.

Transom Support

The previous owner has said there was an issue with the Rib, the fact it was over powered(Marginally) we should look at reinforcing the transom. I have inspected it and there are no indications of stress cracks around the mounts, or anywhere else on the transom. Also we have the radar and self righting arch attached to the deck and transom which I feel is another hardpoint for additional support. Unfortunately I have to answer to my supervisor and he seems to think we should do the installation. I'm looking for ideas, opinions, mechanical drawings, anything to got in one direction or the other....

Why not just contact the guys at Gemini and ask them? I have the 8.5m with 2 x 200s and didn't need any additional support but I do know that beefing up the knees on the inside was an option during construction. Grant

I think the 730 hull is rated to 450 hp, so i recon its strong enough when it comes out o factory.
