Gas struts

I'm having trouble getting some replacement gas struts for a Princess motor cruiser. One is off the flybridge door and one is for a locker on the bathing platform. The boat is question is no longer made by Princess and they seem incapable of matching the old ones with new ones. Does anyone know a good supplier (preferably in Hampshire) that does these? The old ones have no spec on them so I really need a company that knows what they're talking about so I can get the right ones.

Add the word "marine" to a product and you can treble it's price. What about a strut from a car tailgate or bonnet? Or are they totally different sizes?

Or try these

http://www.sgs-engineering.com/gas-struts/marine.php

They do all sorts of gas struts.

RS do some lovely S/S ones, and you can adjust the pressure on them, down only of course!
