Garage Storage?

How many folks store their RIB in a domestic garage? How tall does a 6-7m RIB sit on its trailer (my garage door opening is 2m high)?

(Thanks for help with another newbie question )

a 7 meter rib on a trailer will need more than 8 meters of garage you can get folding a frames for the height issue

And folding drawbar for trailer, there are some squeezed into some tight spaces, but how wide is the door? A 6.5m can be 2.5m wide

Hmmm. With that length, its probably headed for the carport (where the drawbar can stick out a little). Trouble is, there's less protection there.

Chap by me has a bow rider on one the fold stops the drawbar hanging well over the pavement lol, some trailers have detachable drawbar more faff but if it's only once in a while or allows you to squeeze boat into garage over winter. Might be worthwhile. Don't under estimate the boat on drive factor for her indoors

RIBase
My Pac 22 which is a nominal 6.5m is about 1.5m tall from the keel to the top of the collar. The mast is higher than this as is the console.

The beam on mine is just over 2.4m. I think a standard garage door is about 2.15m wide. If this is an issue, you can let the tubes down.

They do become very big when you are trying to get them in a small space.

I 'launched' mine off the trailer and on to some low profile casters to get the boat into the garage.

Thanks, Guy. Very much appreciated. It's a twin leaf double garage door - about 3 metres wide. I suspect that it's the height and length that will be the issue. I suspect that I need to know the height in total, including console and frame.

Again, working through the logistics and practicalities of getting set up. [emoji106]
