Fun per pound?! Both £ and weight

Threw my mini-rib, Avon 2.5m with Merc 2hp, on the roof of the car and went out on the River Dee on Tuesday, pootled about in the sun from 7.30 -9.30. Just awesome.

1. It only cost me £400 all in to buy and I used about £2 of fuel tops. Makes our trip round Anglesey for £100, plus maintenance and depreciation etc look very poor value.

2. Having lost 2 stone since last summer, when my friend hopped out I tried to see if the boat would get up on the plane, it did much more easily than last, it actually shifts pretty quickly!!

So, less money and less weight, far more smiles per mile!

Kill cord: It then made me think of a kill cord It doesnt have one. If I'm going to blast up the river alone on the plane I'd like to have one, plus if my daughters start to use it in a few years, I REALLY want one. Is it possible to fit one to a proper basic 1990s 2hp Merc with the white cowling?
