I used to have 2 X 25L + some plastic jerry cans. Now have a stationary 70L + 20 plastic can(for spare), for me this is much more convenient.

Now I don't need to refuel at sea, or switch tanks in bad weather. Refueling on the trailer is easy, minimal spillage, using one of these cheap orange hand Siphon Pumps.

fun on a boat is inversely proportional to size...sort of anyway

Having two gives you a backup should the pickup connector fail or get blocked, or the fuel get contaminated on one.
