Fuel Tank Supplier / Fabricator - Scotland

I am looking to get a fuel tank for underneath the jockey console on my Avon SR4.7m, (I have the standard console) and was wondering if anyone could recommend a supplier or fabricator of such fuel tanks in Scotland, either in stainless of plastic I am looking to try and get about a 60-70 litre tanks under the seat.

If you would be able to recommend someone that would be great.

I used this lot (not in Scotland).

Very, very impressed with the quality but not particularly cheap.

Really interested how you get on with this as I have been thinking about doing the same thing with my SR 4.7 !
At the moment my fuel tank is sat right next to the transom & in the way !.
Also been thinking about making the seat removable & cutting access through the top of the fibre glass so I could easily get access to items stored underneath ! (like the pic below on this well thought out & sorted Sea Rider)

I have also been looking at the plastic fuel tanks & was watching this item for sale tonight but didn't bid as I don't know the dimensions of seat (Boat isn't kept at home!)

These are not RCD compliant - but unless you are coding this should not matter. Tanks are pressure tested and almost any configuration of filler, vent and outlet are possible

I will let you know how I get on with this and put some photos up as well. I have my tanks beside the transom and want to clear that area too. The job Custom Rib did looked really smart. I am looking into plastic tanks as well but am struggling to get something that will fit. I will keep you posted.

If its a 4.7 standard consol you can get 2 x 22l litre hulk tank to go underneather without cutting into the deck which houses air bladders by the way

On the 4.0 meter SR only one Hulk tank will fit (22L) under and the battery. if you need additional fuel then the Hulk Tank 12L Fits under the Front as last picture shows.

Non of the Tek Tanks as shown Fred work as too wide.

Thanks for the photos Matt. That looks like a good set up too. I maybe asking a silly question but is it possible to fill up the fuel tanks without lifting the seat up? I do have a standard console but the sides have been glassed over.

I would not want to cut into the deck, just a tank that sits on the deck under the seat.

No Worries. fuel fill.tilt seat up and cut a 5 inch hole for both.. positions the holes and fuel tank filler position away from edges so as to keep structural rigidity..

That's a real shame but I did wonder !
it looks like the seat has been raised on mine as well, because theres some "not so pretty" fibre glassing around the base ! (compared to the rest of it!)

How is your seat fixed to the fibreglass base?, - 2 locating dowels & a clip at the back ?

Hello, so after extensive looking at fuel tank fabricator and cost etc, I have decided to go for the same set up as you Matt H with the two plastic tanks under the console. This is main due to cost. I will put up some photos when I start the work.
