Mine was like that too. I pushed something non marking up against the ball til the spring compressed and went slack. It works a treat now.

It only took a few seconds and it doesn't matter if the spring goes totally slack.

Yup, the nozzle is very flexible & about 18" long. Screw it onto the Kerny Kan, stuff the hose down the tank filler & up-end the kan & rest it on the tubes. No spillage, no buggering about with pumps, job done

which is the best jiggler pump then, think I need to invest in a couple for this season, not up to pouring fuel in at the moment

thanks Edd, it's mainly for topping up before launching, I'll be ok lifting the Kerny cans onto the tubes just not standing there pouring to go juice in
