Mine was like that too. I pushed something non marking up against the ball til the spring compressed and went slack. It works a treat now.

It only took a few seconds and it doesn't matter if the spring goes totally slack.

Yup, the nozzle is very flexible & about 18" long. Screw it onto the Kerny Kan, stuff the hose down the tank filler & up-end the kan & rest it on the tubes. No spillage, no buggering about with pumps, job done

which is the best jiggler pump then, think I need to invest in a couple for this season, not up to pouring fuel in at the moment

I typed "Fuel jiggler tube" into e-bay and got totally confused as to which length, what brand and what diameter to go for.

Hi Brian I use one all the time. Best I can say is not to get it to short measure what you require remember the depth from your filler cap to the tank plus get a big bore as it goes in quicker I've got 3/4" with 2 metres length.
