I usualy work on a liter a mile, for a 5.5m with a 90 opti, probably abit cautious but better to have too much than too little. From conway its about 60 miles each way so you are looking at carrying around 60 plus your reserve fuel, so about 90L in total each way.

This would be worked out on how much I would take, so at a guess and only a guess I would say yours will use about 0.75L per mile so 45L pluss reserve fuel.
I hope this gives you some idea.

Based on the info you have provided.

Regardless of boat weight and speed
  • 2 stroke at full throttle- 23-24 litres per hr
  • 4 stroke at full throttle- 16 litres per hr

Reduce throtlle accordingy and consumption will reduce. Without knowing the boat/weight/sea state etc I would guess that you could get a reasonable cruising speed with about one third better consumption that the 2 figures above. You will know already what sort of speed you can cruise at.
