Ah. Two possible reasons for that.
Firstly, I could give you a load of bull about this dust storm that came out of Alpha Centurae, swept around the moon thirteen trillion years ago and put it into a temporary wobble which distorted the tides for one day.
But secondly, it’s much more likely your watch is fast.

Ha, won the bet!! One of my students found this site, its great:

http://www.isleofwightweather.co.uk/...es_may2005.htm

FREE solent tide times for the year. Clickable maps for each port etc ... and the site has loads of other good stuff on it.

Thanks to Lou for finding this for me, I almost lost my faith in the great world wide wonder web.

I'm with Keith-Belfield tide plotter for around a tenner- loadsa uk and europe ports - print out monthly tide tables or a graph for wherever you are are (and whatever you are onboard) without needing an internet connection for the laptop. The graph thingie is a neccesity for me cos when lo water is below 2.4m the water leaves the end of my launch ramp and it is then a vertical drop! I can print out any future date and see at what time too much water goes down the plughole. For ten quid its not worth muckin about
