'Free' Dry Stack at Universal / Hamble River!

Hi

I have a dry stack mooring contract up until 10th July 2011, which can accommodate up to an 8m boat, with unlimited lifts.

For various reasons, I have sold my rib and the 'boat share' deal that I had hoped would replace it will not now be feasible.

In a nutshell I would like to offer the free use of the remainder of the drystack contract to anyone in return for occasional use of the boat. I am very experienced and careful (references available) and am an MCA Master Mariner, plus Hi Speed Type Rated, plus RYA etc etc. Currently employed as a Ships Captain and Hi Speed Passenger Catamaran Commander, so your boat will be in very good and careful hands. Obviously I would pay for my own fuel ...

Alternatively, I can sell the remainder of the contract priced as for a 5.3m rib, although I have agreement from Universal Dry Stack to store up to 8m. Saving you nearly 1/3rd of the cost of your dry stack.

Open to other ideas / suggestions ...?

Please PM me for my telephone number and we can discuss details / ideas / meet up etc.

Thanks

How much do you want to sell the remaining contract for? I have a 6.2m RIB.

I have already spoken to them about 'me' putting another rib on the stack and they have agreed that it can be up to 8m...

Ideal arrangement

Hi There Blue Lightning,

This sounds like a great arrangement. A friend and I have just bought a Ribtec 655 with twin Yam90s. I live near Manchester (where boat currently is) and he in London. We have been looking for the best place to keep the boat and Southampton is the closest place between the two of us. Think we would like very much to take you up on your offer and you can use the boat whenever you like. Only other thing we would probably like to add to the agreement is to be able to pick your experienced brains about ribs and ribbing as we are relative newcomers. I do have a RYA PBII but this is our first boat. If you are interested then let me know and I can give you more details of the boat. Thanks, Jake

Hi

If none of the other 3 offers happen, I'd like to register my interest. Obviously I understand those 3 take precedence though.

6.2m rib as per my profile. Family are based in Hamble and Marchwood.

Good luck, hope you find a workable solution.

Yours
Ian

Thanks for all the varous offers, but just to let everyone know that I have now agreed to share my drystack with the owner of a BananaShark 6.20m.

Should be fun ...
