That was me. Called you on channel 77 for a while and chased all the Valiant type RIBs we saw but to no avail.
You would have certainly been okay in the Solent. A bit wet maybe and okay on your own. Southampton water was fine for playing in.
What time did you see us at ?

I reckon it was around 1.00pm. We walked to Ashlett Creek first of all hoping against hope that the wind would calm down. When we returned it was a damned sight worse so we had lunch in the Spinnacre Bar and left around 3.00pm. I did have a radio but its a bit sad carrying it in the bar?

That would have been us poking around Calshot on the Southampton side prior to going to Cowes.

Didn't expect you to carry the radio round on land but somebody was hailing Noddy on channel 77. Bit of a coincidence as it was obviously two yachties talking.

Thats why we thought we'd give you a shout.

We'll meet up some other time.

My you have come on since I sat on the front of that "little ole Avon" a couple of years ago all the way to the needles and got hassle off the missus when we were late back(by 3 hours-lol).
We will be down at Cobnor weekend after next. Try out in Chichester Harbour and launching is a doddle there. Then I've got to put away my toys for the winter - just moved house so have decorating and boring things like that to do.

Its a learning curve. Hope I'm nearing the top with regards the Solent and RIBs.

Benc,
Those seat backs make a big difference. Really keep you in place. I had them on Hot lemon as well.
Might have made a bit of an error buying the Scorpion though. I find out tomorrow if I have got to transfer with work to Australia so might be up for sale straight away. Will let you know!

Biggles,
I think that was me in the green scorpion that was coming up southampton water next to you. We were definately next to the boat criss crossing the wake from that sunseeker. You looked like you were having fun!
We were coming from cowes and did not get wet until we turned to have the wind on out port side. Then we got soaked. Well my passenge did...I was ok on the starboard side. Its all in the planning!

Cheers

Ozz
