Best option is what rogue Wave did - buy a Searider without a flooding hull.

Do they not do the flooding hull in the newer 5.4's now?

I think they all have the flooding hull as standard now, but in the early '90s, it was an option on the 4.7. Rogue Wave's 4.7 doesn't have the flooding hull.

Flooding hull, Searider

The deep V hull of the Seariders cause it to bob around when the hull is blocked. The only dissadvantage to the flooding hull is a slower holeshot (pulling waterskiiers). The additional stability of the flooded hull is important in this boats design.

Can't be that important as Avon sell a kit to block it off.

My main reason for wanting to block it off is getting the thing back on the trailer on the shallow grad slip I use. Plus I have to troll for a wail due to speed restrictions.
