Believe it or not I was intending to do the Cherbourg trip weekend just gone. I contacted Scott on Thursday at 15.30. Scott was conducting a VHF course but his Dad answered and I mentioned who I was on Ribnet and that I had been in discussions with Scott about getting one of his flares. I mentioned I was going away at the weekend and was there any possibility they could get it in the post. His Dad was aware of my enquiry and said I will run it down to the post office now for you. I will get Scott to call you later for payment!
I was shocked I don't think i have ever experienced that above and beyond exceeding customers experience before. Scott called me later and we had a good chat about the flares and I gave him the payment.
Flare turned up before 12 next day (Friday) battery had been inserted and I am really impressed just shining the flare across the room the spread (like a cat's eye) of the beam is a good 7-8". So obviously the further the flare travels the longer the beam so you understand the big difference between this and a laser pointer.
Unfortunately the haste of shipping was not necessary in the end as of Friday night the weather for the weekend looked rubbish, and thats not fun in my eyes.
I am a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due and it was a pleasure dealing with you Scott (and your Dad) and I think you are distributing a great neat little product there.
