I'm with Will on the standalone front, however I did discover from a spares shop in Glasgow a couple of years ago that there are ony a couple of factories in the universe make white goods. Whilst trying to source a replacement fan for the built in oven, the question wasn't "make? model? serial number?" but "Japanese or German?"

For what it's worth our Bosch has been going 10 years and showing no signs of giving up. .....I'm going to regret saying that tonight, aren't I?

As for the rib, that's easy. Net bag with a fishing rod behind the prop. Use the pitot sender tube to squirt fairy liquid into the mix. Just don't engage reverse!

That's the one I use! Very reliable and never had any problems up to now.
