I carry tear aid it's self adhesive one sort for PVC one for hypalon works on wet surface.

Thank jky. My pin holes are on the vertical side of the tube, and I can' get them level unless I tip the boat on its side :-(

So I guess I'll try the smaller patch for now.

To avoid hook punctures you could use non offset circle hooks, Ive been using them for years and have a much better catch rate than j hooks.
