Warsash today was not nice

Went across to Cowes today and decided to launch at Warsash as its normally pretty straight forward however today was not good, I had to basically drive through 20 ft of seeweed and muck at the top of the slip at high speed in my 2WD estate. I was a bit pissed off that having paid 5 for the use of the slip it was in such a shite state, there was a guy there that said it would get cleared by the council eventually

Even a 4wd would have needed some welly to have got through this stuff. It stank as well!

at last

This was a brand new trailer and it took me about two hours to adjust before getting tow ready. You'll also notice the tie downs stopping the boat moving forward and backwards. A similar tiedown was at the back goint from one side of the trailer through the tow eyes and back down to the trailer.

Check the slipway for glass before you start dancing around on it (or else!)

Unfortunately the trailer grounded coming off th slip which frayed the brake cable. The drive back to Wells was charecter building at least!

I obviously didn't pull this out with a 2CV and did use the Pajero in low ratio 4wd, but the trailer weighs 500 kg and the boat weighs 2700 kilograms and it did it easily. You'll notice the use of safety ropes tying the boat to the slipway and trailer etc. I did this on my own so I made sure I stopped the boat from slipping back into the water by tying it on to things, while I was transitioning from boat to traier to parking attendant

are you sure the trailer is that light, my sbs single axle 1800 weighs in at 400kg and my super roller coaster 7 weighed in at 700 or 750!

i would have expected that trailer to weigh in at 800+

The plate said 500 kilos' and a 3000 kilo's payload. Giving a GVW of 3500kg's,

Bloody nice trailer actually but it's 11.5 mtr in length and I think it could do with an extra axle and roller bay, but then that'a an extra grand or so.

my favourite UK trailers are SBS Bramber and Parrymore,

I am also surprised that trailer only weighs 500kg, I was looking at an Indespension Super RollerCoaster 10 recently, payload 2650Kg, length capacity 7.3m and it weighed 850Kg unladen. What make is it?
