First day out in my ribcraft

Launched Portland, gentle cruise over to Lulworth, first thing that struck me is how quiet the Opti is, then Weymouth for some lunch, left family on quay and went over to the Bill, wow this boat is superb in the rough and very dry, the landings are so much smoother than my old Porters. The second thing that surprised me is the fuel economy, on a par if not better than my Twatsu 60. Finally a dash back to Weymouth with a following sea, trimmed right out 38knots. I love this boat! Thank you Mark and Dawn.

Improvements? I would like to extend the range, currently running two 25l tanks, manage 55Nm but would like more, is it possible to get larger tanks?

Secondly would like to update the GPS currently fitted Garmin 152, forgive my ignorance but would the connections be the same for a newer Garmin

First pic is before and after rib revive treatment.

First day out

I'm sooooo jealous. Had some great days out in her and done that trip many times - hope you enjoy just as much. Must get another boat!

I guess you are on portable tanks?

Hulk do a 30L portable, only down side is that it doesn't go under seats as well as the "standard" 25L tanks. (hence why I have my two sat side by side under the engine) Hulks are cheap & cheerful, but do what they say on the tin. (But don't believe the built in fuel gauges!)

There's also the flexible fuel bladder type, but I'll leave users of them to extole their virtues.

Someone must have put the wrong stickers on it , or you aren't revving it hard enough

Dispite me now loving the Verado's, I did get a bit jealous when PeteM pulled away from us and I got to hear that OPTI growl again. I do miss my Opti
