First cruise

Well Keran and me had our first cruise on our rib KeyMar today. Nothing to exciting it was only on the River Trent. We dropped her in at Farndon Marina and within ten minutes we had performed our first rescue!!!! A couple of fishermen in a dinghy with a broken outboard were frantically paddeling upstream againts a good couple of feet of running flood water

With the dinghy towed safely back to Farndon we went in search of a stretch of un-inhabited river. Once found she quickly came up onto the plane with a max. recorded speed of 33kts on the gps. (if british waterways are reading this then my gps is way out of caliberation!!!!).

Apart from the rain showers we had a great time, even our nine month old german sheppard loved it. After a stop for lunch it was back to the marina for some more practise getting the boat on and off the trailer. We have taken some photos and when i figure out how to re-size them I will post them.

A great day and totally justified buying our boat.

Cheers

Martin

Go to Google.......

..........and punch in PAINTSTUDIO LITE and see what you can find, this will assist in resizing. Good luck. Looking forward to seeing your results.

You can use Windows paint to re-size pictures and to change the attributes, (eg. saving a .bmp as .jpg for a smaller file size).

thanks guys

There you go Petrov, just for you. The picture of KeyMar on the trailer was taken after we had just collected her.

Louise, Cody loved it I think she must have a bit of springer in her somewhere

Cheers

The boat was made in 1996 but I suspect the engine is a bit younger. I purchased her from our local diving club, who had owned her for nearly 2 years but had only used her once. Prior to that the previous owner had her from new as far as I know.

I have had this week off (using the last of me hols) so have been busy doing bits and bobs on her. Had another trip out on the Trent today, Better weather and whole lot of fun. Keran and me are really looking forward to some serious cruising on her next year.

Cheers

Martin
