Fender A Frame storage
I've seen a couple of ideas for storing fenders on an A Frame. Can anyone point me in the direction of some propriety stainless steel fender storage racks that will fit underneath the top of an A Frame.

Fender Storage
Hi Biggles, What about storing suitable fenders that would double as "Self Righting " device and Fender Storage...

We use flat fenders from Compass in Dartmouth - easier to store!

I for one, like the concept of self righting Fenders. However, would the average size of fender really work? I think the A frame would have to be abnormally high and fenders particularly large for it to work affectivley. If you look at self righting bags they go sausage shaped and extend nearly to the beam of the craft.
I would have the fenders either side of a double A frame, perhaps two per side. Flat fenders offer good protection but if you have no hidden storage on board they look ugly on show IMHO.

If you use the small fenders like I do they fit rather well in the stainless "cages" that bolt onto the aframe made by Plastimo for storing rescue grab bags in. They cost about £17.

We use ours stored horizontally in a rack under the self righting bag. Simply a cage storage unit with quick release clips on the fender lines to hold them in.

I was thinking of doing exactly the same thing. So far I found:

I think in reality I need 2-deep not 3-deep so they fit neatly on the A-Frame. Mu local chandlers does do individual baskets which clip together but haven't found them anywhere online yet.

Thats something I'd like to do but the price has put me off experimenting.
Wish I had a mate in a chandlers who would let me try the stuff out
