Berg is a shame to get ridoff that boat IMHO. Price is OKish. They sell brand new in Greece with 250 Suzukis at Euro 35,0000 complete with trailer and all electronics.
Is a super boat.

WOW nice boat and from what you say about the engines pretty fast too.

Going back to the Falcon. Did you race it? If you did how did it do and what you think of it? What speeds did you get and sep ut? Will be interesting to know

manos dorry for taking so long to reply.
the falcon run right about 70-74mph with the trp on a hotted upi 225 spinit to 6500. with 6 people and a full load of toys(tube skiiis cooler) ran 60 at 6200. it handled the rough water allot better wiht the trp once i mooved it to the middle of the boat no offset and lowered it from the top speed location.

No problem.

I have (I still am) down with a very bad dose of flue.

Speed figures sound good. Do you use flaps? I feel that after say 48 mph it has a tendency to lean to the left and was thinking that flaps may be the answer to that.

I am finishing for the 2nd time a 150VMax TRP with 25" pitch props I think (just changed the injectors on the carbs and the inlets, got a set of boyesen valves also polishing the exhaust and balancing the crank, got a jack plate and low water pick up and all the other trimmings that go with this set up i.e. floscan, water presure etc) and on the computer showed that it will make up to 126kms/hr (about 75mph) which with what you say is right. The boat will run light with no weight except the tanks (2x100ltrs plastic) and 2 persons.

The other 700RSR I've got with the 200VMax and 21 Yamaha Pro prop does not do more than 62 mph or 100kms/hr @ 5700 revs with full load trim at 4+ and the engine setting is in one hole before the last. May be I need a higher pitch prop to get some more top end seed (say 23"x 14 1/4 or 25"x14). This boat goes great in rough seas but leans to the left at times at 48mph and it does not correct whatever you do. You need to drop speed to 37-38 mph let the boat correct and accelerate again. This leaning makes it dangerous for passengers at times.

The guys who race the boat in SAfrica noticed the same problem and they have put a set of very small fixed trim tabs that got from someone who raced RIBs when they bought a load of spares. The tabs came from the US but they have no markings on them and they cannot tell me who makes them. They are something like 100x120mm and are set at a 90 deg angle to the transom.

I was wondering if you have any ideas on this and if you can source any small fixed trim tabs or may be would be better to get some . Will need 2 sets.

Or may be get some Lenco racing tabs or those from Trck Marine that are a bot expenssive but they seem to be very good and they will not brake.

Email me and let me know what you think if you like. Many Thanks

Manos,

i noticed that when i had a stock lowerunit on i had an extreme lean but with the trp the boat runs straight as an arrow. the 25" pitch props are great because they allow you to still maintain holeshot. I was skiing behind a set.
the stability wiht the trp makes the boat extemely easy to drive no lean and turning while under full throtle is a breaze.

OK I understand. Thanks for that Evan.
In any case I would need one set of trim tabs for the single prop VMax. So I'm on the look out for a set.
