It will if you mount it a few inches lower than the engine is currently fitted - just drill some new holes - easier than cutting the transom!

Cookee, will that still leave enough room for the steering gear etc? Not had alot of experience with jack plates...

Should do - it depends on the steering gear and the set back of the lifter - Stainless Marine lifter and Seastar Pro steering will be fine within reason.
