Fake teak

Has anyone found a more economical option to fake teak decking

Nearly fell off my seat at the prices. I want to do it DIY and I am happy to import from foreign countries. Like the look of the stuff on the roll

Cheap it wont be in any case...

I ordered several smaller panels from the Estonian Flexiteek distributor, the price was little better from there. As Euro is weak compared to sterling, would possible be a good price for You?

There is also an DIY product called ISITEEK, don't know about the price though.

I guess you mean the artifical teak look stuff, I had mine done a few years back, it makes a big improvement to the look and also helps to absorb some of the pounding, more comfortable deck space.

I had mine done by a company based on the hurn airport industrial estate, they did a really great job, better than I could have done, I didn't think the price was over the top.

Permateek Synthetic Decking

I think after you have it done you will agree it was worth while.

Here a picture of the job that had done in Estonia(Flexiteek). I just sent the templates by mail, they delivered the ready made job including glue. Very good craftsmanship must say. Will install as a DIY job, not a rib unfortunately.

Not cheap, that was 550 eur + vat, euro is weak so maybe 420 sterling's + vat?
The m2 price for straighter shapes is much less. I like the material, think its worth it.

Would you like to have the contact details to my supplier for comparison?

I am not connected, but dear to recommend based on my order, also promised schedule was spot on. Mine was all handled though emails(never even called them), hardest part was to make the templates. Did send a few photos and initial measurements for getting the quote. postage should not be huge as it can be rolled.

If your considering Seadek I can vouch for its quality and reliability. It is easy to use and with good preparation and planning it will transform the deck if your RIB. Check out FB page for Australian company RIB Rescue for a few pics of an install.

Happy to answer any questions you have.
