Facing the Frozen Ocean

We've just had an enjoyable hour listening to Bear Grylls talking about last year's transatlantic crossing. It was organised by Waterstones booksellers. Not sure if he's doing any others for Waterstones but might be worth keeping a look out. We do know that he's doing one at Ottakars in Clapham on 12/05/04 http://www.ottakars.co.uk/Internet/s...derBy=ShopName

He is giving a talk on April 30 at the Yacht Club in Abersoch as a charity event for the local RNLI station.

And what "frozen Ocean" might that be seeing as it was not frozen and he did not cross an Ocean? Alan P

Alan,

We're also looking forward to your presentation of transatlantic and round the world exploits at RIBex.

Bear will be attending RIBex so you'll be able to dicuss your experiences of the North Atlantic with him You've both experienced conditions at sea which I certainly never, ever hope to encounter. For that you both (and all your crews) get my respect no matter what controversy surrounds the publicity or marketing of the adventure.

Richard

I've already had the privaledge of listening to Alan Priddys exploits and was very impressed, seems he's been there done it and has the T shirt, recon Bear is just following in the Masters foot steps and i think i'd have trouble sitting and listening to someone who bends the truth ever so slightly.

taking nothing away from Bear though but i'd still like to see him do it in a 4 metre boat
