extreme transom reinforcement Tornado 6.3

He Guys,

Wanted to share a little project with you
This weekend (en next : ) and..) we worked on reinforcement of the transom of my Tornado 6.3m.
With big help of Danny (who's building ribs professionally) we made the
transom 200hp e-tec proof.

part 2 :
laminating the foamcore knees.. which are about 4 times as big
as the tornado ones.. AND very important: on the right position.
As you can see, the knees are lamination on the hull instead of the deck

As you can see a box was made, connecting the old en knees, and putting
it all together on the deck. Filters, wiring etc. go neatly underneat it.

What I like is that if you get a big wave onboard it should just shoot out over the transom - as long as that square hole is blocked off!!!

It's looking 200Hp Proof, but did you make it Mervyn Proof

Danny did a great job, do you need to come back next weekend?

It would have to, as the trunks are now inside the new locker

No.. : )

The trunks are relocated to the left and rightside of the old knees.
Stainless steel right away through the transom..

The hole will stay and act as a garbage can.. :P )

yep, that is a hatch, access to filters etc. and ofcourse the bolts to attach engine

Question-where's the air intake on a 200 etec?

I'm wondering if a wave shooting out over the stern won't swamp the engine if the hatch is blocked off.
At the moment I guess it'd still get rid of a large proportion of it?

and I need a testpilot ( who will be roped on the a-frame) to check the transom while going extreme: interested ?

Not, if it starts chine walking at full bung
