Cool!
Would you happen to have fresh Avon badges. Would like to replace mine with new ones. Old ones are toast.

Surely this can be arranged. I'm still figuring out all the features that I want to have on it. A step plate and maybe a handrail too. And has to have space for a chainsaw. That's a must.

And a great place to attach navigation lights and a bow light.
Chain saw ..hmmm love to see where this is going (or the places where you plan to go with this. Maybe an extra tank in the bow as well?)

Zodiacmilprouk... just out of interest, what other boats do you still build in the U.K? I thought all the new boats were built abroad these days.

That's really impressive 3d modelling, going to look into that, would definitely be useful!
Great build, boat looks good

Hi Stresspill.

Went to check the boat You posted SR6 for sale in Finland

Think the tubes are in much worse condition than yours, plenty of work even if they hold air. Deck felt solid but there was plenty of water inside the hull(not a flooding hull version) so probably plenty of nasty repairs to be done there also. Would have been interested in the hull without engines but considering to much of a project so this time have to pass. My SR 5.4 is still going strong so at least have something until hopefully find a better 6SR(or more time for fixing).

Yep, it's a project alright. I'm almost certain that the stringers around the fuel tank are toast. Since the deck alu-plate is installed with inserts that are not probably sealed properly. But have not seen the boat myself so cannot be 100% of course. If it were my boat would sell the engines immediately and would go for a full restoration for the deck. Those yammies are usually astronomically priced here in Finland and could negate the price of the hull.

Easiest way to spot if the deck is wet is to inspect around the hatches on the back and shove a smart phone inside and take photos. Wet areas are easy to spot as they are darker that the dry ones. And a rubber mallet is also a good tool for sounding the deck.

If the deck is dry this could be a very good deal.
