Yes there is a "tilt switch" which shuts the engines down in that scenario.
Indeed they were a bit of an issue with the early Atlantics as these switches were sometimes too sensitive and used to inadvertently shut the engines down when the boats were going up wind and were reaching nearly vertical angles as a result - just what you don't need to happen in that situation

I just found the SeaLegs instructional video on YouTube ( http://youtu.be/EuK7DZPvnNE) where the manufacturer is demonstrating the same "no kill-cord" technique, as well as having a badly fitted lifejacket at one point!
At least we know what the 3 levers are for now!

I reckon its a sealegs boat.
As to the killcord in my opinion its not being worn, its hanging down. Look closely at the compression of the cord, its not under any strain at all, all nicely compressed rings. If it were attached in any form to him you would see evidence of the cord being slightly stretched out.

Exactly!! based on that photograph its your opinion not fact, and that is my point it could be attatched you cannot see the end of it so you cannot prove that he is not wearing the kill cord you can only assume and we know that when you assume it makes an ASS of U and ME.
In this country we are innocent untill proven guilty, we do not convict on an assumption.
Again i rest my case

Doing some sort of promotion, publicity etc....
In this day and age, what with the 'Milly' incident.
I would show clearly that I was wearing a killcord, and even have my 'spare' on show.
Just MY OPINION like.

You are missing the point, the point is it was said that he was not wearing the kill cord, from that photo you can not tell if he IS or IS NOT so should not jump to conclusions. is that too hard for you to understand LIKE.
