There are some..........

Posting hereabouts you've got JCW, Bern Hanreck & Phil (who is near enough in Suffolk.) and me as an ex-ribowner. There are a bunch of others who don't post here but are the BIBOA "East Coast chapter" who get together several times a year.

Boat Storage

Steve,

i'm looking at a new storage place at Ingatestone called Store Now Ltd, really easy to get to and have a gold Cassoa cert, also looking at under cover storage in between Billericay and Wickford but it is to much money on my own, would possibly take three ribs and all the kit.

Hi guys . We keep our Ribcraft 5.85 on the drive which is nice from the convenience point of view so have no experience ( or requirement ) for alternative storage. Always keen to meet other local Ribbers for the occasional cruise. ( we wimped out on sunday from a launch at Herne Bay 'cos the forcast said locally force 5/6 . Don't tell those tough buggers from up north though ).

South East Ribsters

Don't forget the 'Searider Gang' i.e. me in Chelmsford, Steve Langley (slangley on Ribnet) in Wickford also with a 4m Searider and Bilge Rat across the Thames with a 4.7m Searider, all of whom I'm sure would be interested. We could even organise 'away days' with groups like the North West Ribsters.

Wind Farm

Hi Guys

As far as i'm aware the wind farm will still be going ahead next year, me and Phil D went out there on Sunday and had a look at the mast, recon it will be a pretty awsomme sight when its completed, hey in the mean time if you want extreme wind you could always visit those Northern ribsters with there med style ribs, i've heard they put out some pretty extreme wind up there :-)

Herne bays a great slipway as its wide, free to launch from and has a massive car park and local facilities, and of course its sheltered inside the harbour which makes launch and recovery very easy, though the sheltered conditions inside the harbour can be a bit misleading as Phil discovered on Sunday :-)

I dont expect to see any of the Northern crew this far South, of course you Northern boys know your always welcome down South if you can put up with the temperate climate and flat calm sea's, though do give us some warning so we can ship in the lard sandwiches and black pudding
:-) :-)
