Equipment Pouch
I have been searching the net as I want some sort of pouch (clear would be nice) that I can fix to my steering console on the rib to put things like my mobile phone and wallet etc in. I am having problems searching because I don't know what they would be properly called.
Anyone got any links or know the name of this item

Waterproof iPad case? I bought a couple from Aldi cheap big enough to store a few items in and come with a lanyard.
Like this was about £10

No this is perfect. It will not be left on the boat. I will make some hooks for it and just hook it on and off.

I don't think leaving it on board in the rain was the concern...
Most of the water on my boats comes from waves not rain... Waves that happen when I'm underway...
That would be salty waves.
What are you putting in it?
I wouldn't even have that in a reasonably water tight locker on a rib!

So do all the zips rust on the cloths that you wear when you go boating. Or do you pay silly prices and only wear cloths from a marine store. Been boating for many years and havnt had any zips rust yet

Presumably you wash your clothes though? It’s not rust that usually kills zips (but poppers and clips can be) but what I assume is aluminium oxide and some sort of corrosion that leaves the metal really brittle.
That bag looks like it will be quite an effective sponge so a nightmare to dry - but it’s your money.

I have the zips on the bags I keep gear in (bag never leaves dry land) go, as soon they start to go a little that's it game over.......
I have bought a supposedly waterproof rucksack from oxford design for motorbikes has a roll top and plastic clips, it's first trip was not a success and it was in a locker in the console of a friends boat..... Aqua V 20 Backpack Fluro : Oxford Products
Would this one be ideal? DryStash T45 : Oxford Products
