I hope they get a free case of tinnies from "Esky" after the inevitable new advertising campaign they'll be running.

Poor kid hope he gets over it

Brilliant piece of video .

The morale of of the story is the effective of EPIRBs - I carry both an EPIRB and a PLB - the water in the North Channel is not as warm as the water in the video - but then I suppose we don't have sharks (that bite)

As the boat sinks, the Esky usually doesn't and this happens surprisingly often. Maybe they should build them with all round ropes and a built in EPIRB.

they say its dangerous to drink on a boat (i asume its beer) but this obviously proved to be a life saver. fair play to them - all safe after being being well equipped. shame for anybody to lose a boat though.

Would they have survived without the ice box though?
