Fingers crossed on the Glasgow option!
Been a right sod this last year with the engines. Had that robber Dan Cooper hanging onto 1600 for six months for no engine & now had my Mariner destroyed at the dealers workshop !!!
On the up-side had a brilliant two weeks at Carradale with the family this year & already booked for the same next year.
Really appreciate all the positive posts on here & hopefully will get sorted soon. Still stung by the negative attitude at the dealers but a couple of bottles of wine with the Mrs will take the edge off.........
Looked at the boat/engine option on ebay but if I turned up with it I might be in the divorce courts as well !!!!

Update to this sorry saga !!!
Went to collect my boat today, engine completely dismantled into a number of boxes. No apology or admission of liability and a bill of 476-20 including 45 + vat for stripping the engine to see what they'd broken !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Needless to say I won't be heading back up to Skipton in the near or distant future......
If anyone wants to buy a Mariner 115 in bits (fully serviced) with a damaged piston/bore please let me know ??

Wouldn't stoop to their level !!!!! Twots. 500 to wreck a perfectly good engine, that & 500 to get my ML through it's mot today. At least there's a bit of malt left in the cupboard........

I'm just waiting to speak to a couple of people on Monday to see if it's worth going through any legal remedy before I get the engine moved on.
I've no idea what it's worth in boxes but everything's there & was working perfectly until they managed to clip a port with the piston !!
The 476-20 stung a bit given the circumstances !!
