eBay ribs?

Has anyone been following the 2 zodiac ribs on eBay?
Zodiac yachtline 480 and the zodiac pro 600/11man.
The pop up for a 24 hour no reserve auction then get removed in 6 hours, then reposted in a different state...
so far I have seen Ohio and Las Vegas....
any thoughts?

Any one bidding?

can a more computer savvy person give us an idea how the scam is intended to work please ?

Simple..you pay the deposit and you get no goods, worst case you are out a few hundred perhaps. PayPal doesnt cover boats so you lost your wedge.

If someone is really daft and the scammers get lucky you transfer all the money and they (never) ship the boat to you

I bought my rib without seeing it. Never seen it until day it was delivered.

Bet it wasn't via eBay! Bought Sula 2 (aka Avon 8) tender off eBay and it's a gem, but we're talking hundreds, not thousands. Engines and boats need to be seen.

That said, bought my Mariner 4hp auxiliary off eBay too. Absolute minter!

Point is people do buy things without seeing them. Nothing wrong with that if you are diligent.
