I get a company alert when the git's doing anything. I see his mother Sarah's still named as a director but his outboards12 eBay account contact details mysteriously became ben cooper.... Cambridge outboards, outboard motors europe ltd, outboard spares, etc etc. The slippery scumbag is as evasive as ever !!

Thought I'd add my bit, very almost got had for 11k by westend marine, my advice would be do your research, electoral roll for address ect and go do a visit, worked for me

He's back cheating people under the name of Outboardmotorseurope.com telephone 01353 968004 also under Outboards Cambridge Tel 01353 725 625. His mother Sahra is the company director.....may be someone should prosecute her as director of the company......I leave it to others what they think should happen to her scum bag son.....5 years in Brixton would be too good in my opinion.

Been advised to write ( after numerous calls and emails) all Ignored, then if nothing after a week have a summons issued against the company, solicitor also looking into issue re. a summons against the Director Sahra Cooper.

I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with Dan Cooper over the last few weeks and I wish I'd seen this post about outboards12 before I made my purchase.

I bought a Suzuki DF4 - which was sold as spares or repair but described as turning over and running, so I figured I would have a go at repairing it. When it arrived it was clear the engine had been submerged, the valves were seized as was the gearbox and gear switcher.

The state of the engine meant there was no way I could use it for parts and attempting a repair would have been a fools errand.

So I contacted the seller - outboards12, who didn't want to know so I exercised my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and they finally agreed to a return and would arrange a collection for the start of the next week.

After missing 3 agreed collection dates I got eBay involved and they opened an escalation against him. After this he again agreed to collect it, but it would be in another 6 days time. Which I wasn't happy about, so I left him negative feedback.

The next day I started receiving telephone calls from debt relief, van rental, cosmetic surgery companies, one after the other and all of them stated that I requested a callback at around midnight the night before. This has been going on for days now, each company with the same details for me (not my full name and only my telephone number) but they all have the same IP address for the person responsible - which traces to BT in the Bury St Edmunds area.

I've reported the matter to the police - who have said there is little they can do because there is no threat of violence involved in the harassment but I also reported him to his Internet Service Provider, who are currently investigating the matter.

eBay awarded in my favour and gave me my money back. outboards12 were quick to get the engine collected after that happened.

Sorry to hear that tale of woe. Things seemed to have quietened down, so I hoped that he might have got his act together.

You might also like to try pushing the police a bit harder about the harassment, because it does not need to be violent to be an offence.

I have now reported the matter to the police, they said the money side of it is a civil matter but have taken down all the details for the harassment

Apparently he's also trading under UK Outboards and Weldtec engineering and marine. A complete crook who sadly will never change his tactics. Karma has a way of catching up with filth like this, unfortunately the legal powers seem to have no teeth to deal with them. From Philip Green down to Daniel Karl Cooper the crooks of this world seem to keep on robbing !!! Hopefully this'll class more as an observation rather than any political statement which I know are forbidden by the mods.
