I would be very happy if I recieve the outboard. And I hope you sort out the problems with the other people.

Obviously this wasn't the smoothest ebay transaction, and I did notice that you sold a large number of propellers and spares without problems.

It would be a great help if I recieve it, as I did loose out on a large amount of my boating budget. I will let everyone know how it goes.

FWIW Dan I don't think you're a crook-just a bloody awful businessman.

I've spoken to several of your customers in the past couple of years and they ALL said they had the same trouble with you. This sounds like exactly the excuses you gave to them too when you didn't deliver.

A bit of friendly advice - If you ARE just a shit businessman then give it up before you piss the wrong people off again. You have a comparable reputation now to Springbok Motorsport and Springbok Mick. Maybe undeservedly so but you'll have a hell of a job losing a reputation like that. I didn't even hear about you on the net to start with - word of mouth got 200 miles...(note-this is NOT a threat!) There was one customer who didn't receive the goods about to come looking for you with blunt instruments at one point a while back. Does that tell you something?

I could go into much greater detail but there really isn't any point.

It would be nice if you weren't floundering out of your depth this time but somehow I doubt it.

You can prove me wrong by sending SamT his outboard.

I am going to make a claim through money claim online. Its obvious I'll never recieve the outboard or refund. I doubted him when he said he would send it, as one of his previous excuses was the gearbox was broken.

He has came up with so many excuses . I told him I would make my claim a month, I thought it would encourage him to send my refund but nothing. Also been intouch with s cooper, just as hopeless. He came up with excuses so I delayed it. I am now going to make my claim on monday.

Anyone else who is waiting for goods or money from him, I suggest make a claim as well, maybe it'll finally shut him down. Anyone who's paid with paypal may recieve some refund. But I expect that he withdraws the money from his account regulary, since paypal recovered part of my refund. Ebay themselves have been useless.

Send SamT his engine Dan. You're too stupid to get away with it.

You are not the only one.

I have been reading the comments on this thread and I thought that I would also like to say that I am also a 'victim' of Daniel Cooper. Again goods were paid for unfortunately by cheque and have not been received. He claims that they were posted and I have not been replying to him, but proof of postage has not been supplied, and weeks went by with him not answering the phone to me or responding to messages left for him. He has asked for anyone with a problem to contact him using the riversendmarine e-mail address, this I have done and am now awaiting a response. If I have not received my money back by the end of the week I am with samt and will be issuing a claim through the county court system.

Ok...

This guy has been doing this for several years.

Do you really think that a county court judgement will make a blind bit of diference? Go up there and collect it-if need be get some of the other people who haven't recieved gear to come and collect. Arrive en masse. Don't leave until he's given you cash or your gear.

And it will cost YOU money to get the CCJ processed - which unless you then want to pay balifs more money to enforce - you are just p1ss1ng down the drain.

He's right-it'll cost less in fuel to go and collect than to enforce a CCJ.

I suspect it might be more satisfying too.

dan cooper

Watchdog??? is it worth a go after you have tried to get money off him?
This seems to be one of those situations where law abiding people get mucked about.
I wonder though whether now loads of info is surfacing whether its worth getting our fine police force to have another look into this!
It seems that possibly a major amount of money has been taken by this trader.

The additional costs get added onto the claim, so shouldn't cost you anything. It's surprisingly easy to set the baillifs in action too. You can even do it on line.

Is it worth someone PMing Noddy?

I really think it's time someone did something about this clown. It annoys me to see people being taken for a ride and just accepting it.
