Anybody else get niffed at the 1.50 "processing charge" on top of the 12 advanced booking price meaning you only save 50p and are reccomended to print out the ticket your self!

Just reaslised the door price is 16, I had 14 in my head but I'm not an oap yet! I still reckon charging 1.50 to print out your own ticket is poor...

I went to Earls Court yesterday, and I reckon it's got the makings of a great show. It's not as squeaky clean and polished as the "real" London Boat Show, but it's none the worse for that.

The lack of massive stands from the likes of Sunseeker makes Earls Court 2 feel like a much more welcoming place. There was a really good atmosphere there and a lot of enthusiasm.

There are a lot more powerboats than you would normally see at a boat show, with Round Britain 2008 and Formula 4-stroke having large stands. Some great vidoes to watch too!

You should be aware that the show is nothing like as big as previous shows at Earls Court, with lots of elbow room everywhere and next to nothing upstairs on the balcony level. I probably wouldn't be quite so enthusiastic if I had paid 16 to get in, but you can buy on line for 12 (plus an extra 1.50 per booking).

Given that this has been organised from a standing start in just 12 months, the organisers have achieved a huge amount. I would be very surprised if there aren't more big names there next year.

John
