E Bay boat covers

Hi
Looking on EBay and general for a cheap boat cover, for 5.5 Humber destroyer seems that the length is no problem but the width beam is usually about 107 inches max, when i measure mine by the wheel in the region of 140 inches. Anyone had a cover for a Humber 5.5 that fits ok ,Help welcome .
Stuart

Hi Stuart

I bought one for my Ribcraft 585, which has a fairly high consol with windscreen plus the high backs of the pod seats and it is a very 'neat' fit that does not go over the tubes a midships. But that is not a problem for me. I did do a bit of re-designing at the stern to ensure the 'A' frame was 'cut out' and the engine covered so they are easy to re-vamp. I am very pleased with mine and |I think that is the general opinion of most that bought from ebay.
Hope this helps.

J

I went for a couple of sizes larger just to make sure the tubes were covered. You can always lose the length under the bow or do what I do and cover the winch post too.

I went for a larger size also and it fits very well. No way to go over the A tube but snuggles in the engine nicely.

I went for a larger one also.
It completely covers the tubes and is ling enought to go over the engine and round the A frame.

Looks fine and is water/weather proof. Its tough enought not to let the radio mount cut through it also.

I would recomend one not having had a cover for 20 years lol
