Oh Johnny Don't Stop

My girlfriend is studying pathology as it relates to clinical psycology and is compiling your posts for a class presentation. Something about feelings of being inadaquate, sociopathic disregard for others, delusions of grandeur, over compensation, likely accompanied by various neurotic deviant inclinations and as evidenced by a presumably grown man still being called and refering to himself as "Johnny", a significant lapse in the maturation process.

I've been rolling on the floor watching you sh1t your shortpants

She's clearly known me all my life! Especially the neurotic deviant inclinations.

BTW, 21 is not really a grown man.

Does that mean that if you could have afforded it, you'd have bought the hard boat?

A Revenger 27 with yanmar 315 is circa 60k, a 25' Extreme (same length hull) with the same motor, but including a full cabin, 'nice' upholstery etc is circa 40k. someones gettin ripped off!

So back to the real world. I have no use for a Revenger, which is why I'm looking at smaller useable boats, boats I can have fun in.
What I earn and what I spend my money on has nothing to do with this forum.
Looking at sub 20' boats RIBs are cheaper than hard boats, if I wanted a boat with a cabin I would buy one!

You still aint answered why the RNLI don't use hard boats for inshore lifeboats....

Coz they're not suited to the job, in the same way, that the average open rib, aint suited to going over 30knts, as per my first post on this thread!

Also, with most Lifeboat coxwains being virtualy incapable of driving a boat without bouncing off stuff, it probably saves a fortune in damage lawsuits.

The couple I've met, have been so inept at controlling a boat, it was shocking. So there ya go, a bit like American 5mph bumper laws, ribs is for poor drivers.

Lol, ALB's have coxswains ILB's have helmsman.
I take it you've never been to the Lifeboat College in Poole?
Still your obviously too good to be a Cowsain or Helmsman and will never need the RNLI because you are superior to everyone else.

You should go to your local station mate, they go out in weather you'd never dream of and come back again.

So if hard boats aint suited to the job surely that makes RIBs superior.

I won't tell you what I earn cause I don't want to embaress you.

Surely the answer is when at rest a RIB sits lower in the water so it is easier to people to get in from all around the boat,
RIBs hard boats its horses for courses RIBs are nice and safe ideal for familys, diving etc and hard boats are usally about performance, without carrying a puncture repair kit,
If you think about birds, would you want the real deal or would you want the blow up version.
If you had a 28 ft Rib parked next to Jons 28 Phantom its like Ferrari parked next to Volvo estate both are very good at different things carrying the family safely or getting the adrenaline rush,
P.S i have both the inflatable and the hard boats.

Think you summed it up they mate, I drive a Volvo estate but it has 280hp and 420NM torque but does the towing trailer, full of shopping and going fast all in its stride which is probably why I like RIBs.

From my occasional watching of the Honda's on tv people seem to get flicked out the boat quite regularly.

Not totally convinced a hard boat can not be just as buoyant as it's rib counterpart, the American's use boston Whaler for all extended offshore work and they don't go straight to the bottom when full of water or cut in two, so I think the argument is better suited to a ribs stable platform idea when at rest or very slow speed, also those American boats that tackle those huge training seas are not ribs

Give you a better laugh than that i just sold my V70 T5 about 2 months ago, yep i did own a volvo and a very good car it was too
It had all that power but struggled to get the boat out at our slipway it was all or nothing it is about 30 degrees, going for a Toyota 3.0 Colorado.

And as The garFIsh says they 8 Russian bombers were launched last week, when someone threw Jon a rope to tie up next to him.

Oh no they're not!!

BTW Chewy, thanks for not embarasing me, oh meggastar....and you should listen to ribit, coz if you chainsawed you fib in two, it's be good for Fkk all, unlike a Whaler.

A bit too close a naked 'pin' and your blowup dream gets a rude awakening!

Chainsaws ain't too much of a problem in the North Sea at the moment, neither are pins, when either of them are I'll let you know.
Your obviously happy with your boat and I'm happy with mine, which isn't a RIB.
